Pathways bringing services to South Shore

Jan. 25—SOUTH SHORE — Pathways, a community mental health center serving 10 counties in northeast Kentucky, is opening a new office in South Shore.

The newest location at 472 Main St. will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. today. During the span of the two hour celebration community members will have a chance to tour the facility and an opportunity to meet the staff.

"We are so happy to have the opportunity to serve the community of South Shore with the opening of this new location," Jennifer Willis, Pathways executive officer, said.

"Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic services are transforming behavioral healthcare," she continued. " and according to the National Council on Wellbeing, are having tremendous success in tackling the dual mental health and substance use disorder crises in America."

Funding from a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic improvement and advancement grant awarded to Pathways in 2022 made it possible to open the new facility, according to a press release.

The new office will offer primary care, care coordination, school-based services, substance use disorder services and behavioral health services. The center will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. the first and third Monday of each month and the second Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to noon.
